I have noticed an error on the series 2 box cover - story "The Time Meddler" is missing. It is the final story of series 2. Please can you amend the cover? Cheers.

The only thing preventing this from being a really fabulous set is the numerous typos, misspellings, inconsistent capitalization, and incorrect story listings, which make it look quite frankly rather sloppy and quickly thrown together. (Many posts pointing out errors - including one of mine - appear to have been deleted at some point over the years.) It appears seasons 1-6 have been updated recently, but only one of the several errors has been fixed. Season 1 still has "i this rip roaring" in the text, and season 2 is still missing "The Time Meddler" from the story listing. Season 12 still says "twelth" on the spine instead of "twelfth," and so on.
Is there any possibility of this set being updated with a good proofreading? |

Hi Valen. Many thanks for your superb efforts. Although I often click thanks, believe me when I tell you that your efforts are very much appreciated.

Valen, please accept my sincere apologies - no rudeness intended at all. You're clearly a talented individual, and I certainly could not do better. It's just that I and others have pointed out several mistakes in the time since this set was released in the hope of a revision, and then those posts disappear in short order. I don't know who deletes them (either a mod or you), but it gives the impression of not being receptive to feedback and not caring about fixing mistakes. I'm sure that's not really the case, but that's the appearance it gives.
Although everyone enjoys praise - and you certainly deserve plenty for sitting down and tackling such a monstrous set - I don't think it's doing anyone any favors to just say "great work, thanks" and then ignore some pretty glaring errors and omissions. It's not meant to offend or disparage your work, only to help make it better. If we can't discuss work honestly and give honest feedback, then what's the point of having a discussion forum? And how are any of us supposed to get better without that? So again, please accept my apologies for any perceived rudeness. |
