April 2012 'Designers' Competition

Time for another competition, this time with a little twist!

To participate, you will need to design and enter one or more DVD and/or Blu-ray covers for any of the movies in this list (and this list only):

The Samaritan - aka Fury (2012)
The Intouchables (2011)
All Things Fall Apart (2011)
Elevator (2011)
New Town Killers (2008)
Panic Button (2011)
Pressed (2011)
Skeleton Lake (2012)
The Entitled (2011)

You can make a DVD cover or a Blu-ray cover, or both, even for the same movie if you wish (in this case they must be different designs, not a rework of the same design on both DVD and Blu-ray).

There is no requirement to make a matching label.

While it is not against the competition rules, we suggest that entrants avoid simply pasting poster art onto the front cover and instead investigate how creative their designs might be!

Here are the general rules for the competition:

1. PM me with your intention to enter by the 22nd of April (please if you send a PM to enter then DO NOT WITHDRAW without telling us)

2. Submit your entry by the 3rd of May by emailing it to info@customaniacs.org, you will receive a confirmation when we get the entry.

3. Covers must comply with the site rules

4. You may not post your covers for help, in this forum, or any other. All work must be done by yourself, no assistance! Anyone found doing so will be disqualified.

5. You may submit multiple entries (a maximum of 3 per contestant).

6. All entries are exclusive to Customaniacs and it is not permitted to upload them to other sites. You must not submit entries that have already been uploaded to another site, all must be new.

Winners will be decided, as before, by a public poll. On the 4th/5th of May all entries will be posted and polling will begin.

All entries will be anonymous until the winners are announced.

Prizes:

First place - 75 euros
Second - 50 euros
Third - 25 euros

Payment will be made via paypal.

We reserve the right to withdraw the competition at any time, amend the rules and/or disqualify anyone for breaching the rules.

If more than 14 entries are received then we may decide to split the competition into two votes. Each set of winners and runners up from each vote will receive the 1st/2nd/3rd prize as above.
