wow, earthsea, caspian, angel all so very nice, I love the working of Wizard, all should be proud of their entries but for me the Snow Queen is magical!

entry 5 is for a cover already on site :s

i havent heard of alot of these so im voting for the one that makes me want to watch it the most.

WOW! Very hard choice, more difficult that round 2!!

BTW Trix is right, there's already a cover for Prince Caspian (I'm quite sure because I eliminate this movie while I was looking a cover for round 3!)

We spoke to contestant number 5 and he/she had searched for "Chronicles of narnia".
Because the thread by Myers is titled the wrong way it does not show in search.
We therefore decided contestant 5 can stay in the competition.

It's obvious that such a popular title is getting tons of votes...

Normally dont like covers that have the main front image in a frame, but earthsea was the one that caught my eye, never heard of the film though, might even look it up.

what is being said is that if you seach for
'the chronicles of narnia' or
'the Chronicles of narnia prince caspian'
then prince caspian is not return because myers has titled it as narnia prince caspian. a search most of us would not think of entering...
number5 did not type the wrong word and search incorrectly
so therefore we cannot hold number 5 responsible.

Just said narnia and myers cover is there... Please look rules... This is very popular film and competition is not regular.

I think that is fair and it is the chronicles of narnia.

c'mon, you guys to search such a title (knowing there are 2 films starting with "Chronicles of narnia") would put those word or just "caspian" like 99.9% of people here ?
The fairness it's not in the search (done wrong) but in the fact that this title is popular, and this poll is public not technical, so the title of the movie is playing al lot in the choiche of many of the user here!

I do repeat, in this way allowing that cover you are making this poll unregular...

gotta say papper i see your point. search for prince - caspian or narnia and it turns up.
technically it breaks the rules so shouldn't be allowed. personally i dont wont to see someone disqualified for it tho'

That's the second problem I have seen so far in this competition. The first one that I noticed happened last round. I missed the deadline this round which stinks because I had a nice one going, but I had a lot of doctor visits and other things that kept me away.

I do not agree MrHenryDog, if, like you said, it techincally broke the rules, it should have been disqualified. Stop.

The point is that, and anyone can't hide this, this cover that should have been disq. instead turned out to be a big hitter for votes !! And this is not fair!

This competition put very strict rules on us (like covers exclusivity) and now I see no point to keep following the rules if some main ones have been clearly broken...

Finally, we cannot hide that this competition was also requesting a lot of efforts because of the "subjects", but allowing such a popular title like that is like say already who has to win and who has not.

BTW "The Mummy" is a magical creature? ;)

We accepted the cover in good faith but we also understand the comments raised.

I do not believe that the entrant should be eliminated, he conducted a search and got no return but I can also see that a search could have been better conducted.

The option I can only see is to suspend the contest for 4 days to allow the entrant to submit a new cover. This would have to be agreed of course but I would like to see a fair solution which I'm sure any of you would appreciate if you were the entrant being challenged.

As far as the Mummy is concerned that is OK imo, the story concerns curse given by a sorceress - which is a witch/wizard. The theme of this round was deliberate to allow a wide spectrum of choice.

Angel heart is all about Black Magic so how can you say that its not in the theme of what was asked?

Normally I am not one to complain about such trival things but i have to put my two cents in on this issue. First off I just want to say that covers #5 and #12 are both excellent works but I think that it sucks that the only two covers that are in violation of the rules are both winning in their respective groups. I wanted to do a custom for "Nasfuratu" but was told vampires are not a magical creature, which was cool, but somehow mummies are? I don't know? Anyway, great work by all. Some really amazing covers in both groups.

Where is magical creature in Angel Heart...or Freddy is magical creature too???

Its a supernatural thriller involving black magic and voodoo among other things.

It's not the mummy itself that qualifies it but other elements in the story.

Our subject this round will have a magic theme so, any movie that is based around magic or magical creatures (witches, wizards, trolls, lepracauns, etc..). Where is BLACK MAGIC ???.... This is not my words...
For MUMMY.... I dond watch Mummy 3, but in first and second not magic theme....

in the movie are several WITCHES tom, so have you seen it at all?
and as far as the mummy: its created by magic and therefore a MAGICAL CREATURE

As has been clearly demonstrated the subject of cover 5 is already on site and it seems clear that our initial decision was in error so it has been disqualified.

For me every movie is MAGIC I love movies and...I love Angel Hearts and this cover is fantastic....Mummy 3 too...But this competition is not regular.......

Can you clarify what happens to those who voted previously? It looks like the votes for #5 have been nulled out and removed from the total votes cast and so do those who voted for it have the option to recast their vote now?

No unfortunatly not, those votes are lost.
There will be a lot of votes though due to the forced lead towards the contest so that should in the end not be a big issue

I really like the use of color in #11.
