The Maniacs Battle Arena Welcome to what I think is our best and certainly biggest competition to date. We wanted to find a way to not only encourage the most to enter but also make it rewarding for all to last the course and have a lot of fun along the way. The rewards on offer are simply mega and may not be repeated so take the chance to grab it while its offered. ================================================== ======= What is this Battle? This is open to all members. Once all the entrants have been registered the cover subject will be announced. A new cover subject will be announced for each round. Each entrant will be assigned a number which will be the only identifier used until the end. All entrants will get 11 days to complete their work A poll will then be opened to allow all to vote. Every entrant gets 5 points plus a point for every vote recieved for their cover in the poll This will happen for 3 rounds. At the end of Round 3 all bar the top 8 in the league will be eliminated. The benefit of this is that even finishing last in one round could be wiped out and still make the final cut overall. These 8 will be randomly drawn into 4 sets of 2 (Quarter Final)and play fight off against each other, and will form for the first 3 rounds a league. The winner of each QF goes into the Semi-Final, the winners of which make the Final. The 2 "losers" from the Semi-Finals also fight-off to settle 3rd place. At the end of the contest every entrant will have their points total converted to credits, this is in addition to the points applied for the covers/labels uploaded. The only proviso is that you have to stay the course, drop out earlier and all is lost. ================================================== ====== Here are the rules for the competition: 00Daddio is your host for this event, all enquires must be submitted to him. 1. PM 00Daddio with your intention to enter by 6pm (GMT) Sun 30th March. 2. Submit your entry (and in the rar file include your name i.e. "memberX_Film title.rar"), by 6pm (GMT) Wed 9th April by emailing it to info@customaniacs.org 3. You must do a cover, thin and label, all must comply with the site rules 4. You may not post your covers for help, in this forum, or any other. All work must be done by yourself, no assistance! Anyone found doing so will be disqualified. This includes asking for help with resources. 5. All covers/labels must be uploaded to site at the end of the contest. 6. All covers/labels are exclusive to customaniacs. 7. Please play fair and don't try to manipulate voting, doing so will forfeit your entry. All entries will be anonymous until the winners are announced. Payment will be made via paypal. We reserve the right to withdraw the competition at any time, amend the rules and/or disqualify anyone for breaching the rules. Not a rule but an inconvenience: We need to disable new polls being created/conducted while this contest is running as this needs to occupy space on the homepage. ================================================== ======= The Mega bit: The Prizes: First Prize will be 400 euros Second place will be 250 euros Third place will be 100 euros That is a simply staggering total prize fund of 750 euros or $1170! So, hopefully a contest in which every entrant can gain something from, but I'm sure you will agree that those prizes are simply outstanding! The prize is in euros, all other currencies are shown for the convenience of members in other parts of the world. The prize as shown will be paid in the relevant winners account, customaniacs are not responsible for any deductions or liabilities such as currency exchange rates or local taxes. Ah the many hours of time we spent putting this together and going over things, I am very excited to see it underway. I am very happy to be your host for this 1st run here so please make sure you pm me if you want in. Oh yeah........don't forget to bring your A-game.

So we only have to make 1 cover? is that right? or is it a different cover for each round?

One cover/ thinpak and label for each of the 6 rounds if you get to be in the final

It will be a different cover each round and 2 versions a standard and a thin + the label. I can't say what cover as of yet but all will be happy.

Seeing's how I only do TV Stuff what I like about this is if I do a movie cover and it sucks no one will know it was me, sweet.

Would it be possible to post a sticky in the BATTLE ARENA with the standard and thin in pds so all that enter can use them, no confusion with sizes then. All who enter use the same templates.
