Chibnall is also leaving as showrunner, so that position is also open. Any preferences for who should take on that role? Sadly, Neil Gaiman has said that he is already spoken for.
J Michael Straczynski has said that he is available if the BBC would consider a showrunner who was not born in the UK. I don't think that's likely, but it would be a brilliant choice in my opinion.
