The 'Criterion' were designed first and fit the 15mm Scanavo Criterion cases.
The 'standard' is 3118 x 1748/264mm x 148mm which is the Region A standard size, not sure where you're getting the 6mm from - those are 257mm across.
The spine art is 11.8mm across so should fit 12mm cases just fine.
