Spider-Man RAW dvd cover

Thanks for the info on the specs/process.

I've rescanned the cover with the descreen feature selected at 600dpi. I didn't think my scanner (Canon MP640) had the feature, but after going through the different types of presets I finally found it under the "Magazine" preset.

I photoshopped the original cover I uploaded to get rid of some of the blemishes and make it look a bit better - but I'll make sure I'm starting in the right place before I do that again. This RAW one will need some TLC for sure. I tried to flatten the spine as much as possible and put a ream of paper on it while scanning, but there is still some reflections - any tips on getting those out before the scan?

As far as the rounded corners go, do you not advocate for the use of .PNG files that retain transparency info? I guess people could always round the corner themselves if they really wanted if not.

Please let me know what I should do next.
