Great! Thanks for thinking of us Paint shop users. There is a lot of resources for photoshop users, but I have been having trouble finding anything for paint shop. Would you consider making an All studios label template for paint shop? I certainly wouldn't mind using my credits for that. I am a newbie, and could really use some help getting started.

Possibly but do you realise that PSP can open and use most photoshop files, especially if the creator has turned on "maximum compatibility" option.
I have used psp since version 3 and although I have PSPx I have gone back to using PSP 9, this to many is the best version before Corel messed about with it. I can open the all studios one that is on site with it. But to be fair I have to say that I don't bother with an all studio template, it just keeps growing and so takes longer to open as time goes on, for me I just create my own for each major studio and then adapt one of them when one is needed for a lesser studio. |
thanks you HS

agree with HS, multi templates are a pain, and it can take an hour just to delete the stuff you dont want to use.
Like shaun says most psd files open in paintshop, but some layers aren't supported. but it might be an idea to covert all the templates to psp and give people the choice- good idea? |

Yep good idea for those especially that are not familiar yet with the finer points of playing in PSP etc. |
Thank you for the great tips. I am currently using Paintshop Pro Photo X2. Does this version have the "maximum compatibility" option? If so, how do I turn it on? I apologize for the questions, I am new to the software, and not yet familiar with the finer points. Thanks for all of your help. It is most appreciated.

The "max compat" option is for when saving a file in Photoshop, you don't need to worry about it in PSP.

I just wanted to say thanks for all of your help. And you were right HelloShaun. I can open most of the photoshop files with PSP. All I had to do was specify that I wanted it opened with Paint Shop, and it worked with no problems.
