Batman (Keaton) 6 Disc Costume Cover ( 22mm Spine )

NB:- The supposed "standard" passed from cover site to cover site comes from old supplies / designs measurements of the 6 disc case having a 1 inch spine. However my 22mm spine means a cover size of 3326x2175, I have done these covers at this size mainly because I have found more and more suppliers changing over to the newer slimmer 22mm spines. Certainly in the U.K. they are a lot easier to find + buy compared to the old 1" spined ones. ( In fact I don't know of anywhere that still stocks the 1" ones anymore!!! I personally haven't been able to get any for over a year now. )

If you do still have the old 1 inch spines and wish to use these covers, there would also very little lost (about 3mm from the top) if you were to scale my covers to fit a 1 inch template. (Roughly increase to 101.5% width & height.)

With the forthcoming Dark Knight and that leading to no doubt another double disc release, I have made a "Bale" version too so the 12 discs are cased. And these are easily enlarged to 8 disc cases ( 27mm spine ) should there be more films.

Enjoy.

Keep 'em coming HOTD. I may be printing covers soon and ditching one of my CaseLogics.

Excellent work by the way.

Just a quick question (By the way execellent Covers) I you've done the Batman Bale and Keaton Collections are you going to do the other two Batman films in a combo (Forever & Robin = Kilmer and Cloney)?

Yes I know they weren't the greatest Batman films but it would finish the collection off, you could make each a Standard case cover.

Glad you made them 22mm spines, just bought 50 of them, thinking they where 1" spines. Doh!

Thanks so much, I haven't wasted money afterall :)

First of all, thank you for the comment about the covers.

I had already decided that I won't be doing the others when these 2 were in the making. As they are for 6 disc cases the Keaton to Bale will house all 6 films (including the forthcoming Dark Knight) with each having a double disc release.

I personally feel that Keaton & Bale have the iconic costumes out of the lot (and luckily they are the first to the latest). Besides I really don't fancy doing one with Clooney's nippled costume!!!

And as I said in the Bale thread, these covers are easily enlarged, and can be made to fit a 27mm spined case ( which house 8 discs each.) So even after Dark Knight, there would be room for 2 more double disc'd films!!!

On another note, I think you will be finding a lot more of these 22mm spined covers popping up, as certainly in the U.K. they are a lot easier to buy compared to the old 1" spined ones. ( In fact I don't know of anywhere that still stocks the 1" ones anymore!!! ).

I will doing all my 6 disc covers to this new size.

Cheers

Thanks for the quick responce to my question, it's a pity about the other two film, but I can see your point, plus like I said they weren't that great. It would have been nice though.

Glad your going keep to the 22mm spine.

Any idea what costum cover you might do next? Silly question really as there isn't much left to do.

Thank again

Hey heir, Best batman cover EVER.

However, I have 1 comment and 1 question.

I dont really dig the batman title logo on the spine.

I really didn't like the majorly over used "Batman Forever" font and wanted to keep it in the essence of the new "Dark Knight" look text, more gothic as batman should be.

And "No" there isn't any standard spine version.

hey HOTD, where did you get that image of keaton?
