When Eight Bells Toll
 

Alistair MacLean ventured into James Bond territory with the spy thriller "When Eight Bells Toll" and he wrote the screenplay from his own novel following a successful "Where Eagles Dare" two years earlier. Starring Anthony Hopkins, Jack Hawkins and Robert Morley this is a gritty, brutal, but entertaining movie from 1971.
