Red Beard is presented in its original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. This new high-definition digital transfer was created on a Sony Vialta Datacine from a 35mm fine-grain master positive. To further enhance the image, the MTI Digital Restoration System was used to remove thousands of instances of dirt, debris, and scratches. The new sound mix was created from the original 4-track magnetic master, and mastered at 24-bit. The soundtrack was mastered at 24-bit; audio restoration tools were used to reduce clicks, pops, hiss, and crackle, although some analog flaws, inherent in the original source material, remain.
