Arena RULES Reminder
This is a reminder to all the great contestants involved in the "Maniacs Battle Arena". Unfortunately I am forced to post this reminder as some have ignored the original posted rules. All covers entered into this comp are to remain EXCLUSIVE to CustoManiacs and may not be posted on any other site. Failure to adhere to this rule is grounds for disqualification in this and any future competitions here on CustoManiacs.

hmmm not sure i agree with this, shouldn't artists who work hard to create there covers have the option to upload there covers elsewhere also?
I can understand that they can't be uploaded elsewhere until the competition is completed? I've invested alot time on my entries for this competition and nearly backed out once... While investing my time in the entries for this comp i've niglected other covers to share with other sites (including this one). I'm also a supermod at another site and loyal to the admin there and expressing my creations that i created for this contest aren't allowed to be uploaded there is a kick in the teeth for me....... |
I don't get that comment.
It was in the rules of the contest from day 1 and we only make this extra statement because some numbnut allready started posting his entry. Imo it has nothing to do with loyalty to other sites/ persons. The prices to win are good enough to substantiate the wish to keep the work here and entering is free will to all. After all we only speak about a couple of covers/ labels here not more. |
I don't see a problem with keeping the covers exclusive, hell I'm pretty much exclusive here now, cos I can't be arsed to keep changing the previews to post elsewhere!!

This thread was just a reminder of what was originally posted in the very first Arena announcement. Though some may have issues with this, they were told up front and this rule only exist for the covers that are entered into this comp. All artists are free to post any other work wherever they choose just not Arena covers. Thus the prize money involved and the extra credits involved. The site is paying top dollor and credit to all involved for just this reason.

Ok i missed rule 6. so will be withdrawning from competition not for just this reason but for another reason aswell.

Sad to hear that demon, you were one of the favourites in my book, and the competition will be losing some top quality covers.
