This section is for Scanned Labels.

The process of creating a high quality scan takes takes time and resources so only upload your own work.

The majority of original labels are of such poor quality that it is not worth scanning them. Please bear this in mind. We also do not want simple labels scanned for example a solid colour with a title and logos, a custom could be created in less time and to a higher quality.

Labels must be circular and of a diameter not less than 1400 px or more than 1500px (site standard is 1500px). Either way they must only be at 300dpi.
NO OTHER DPI SIZE!

The centre hole must be reduced to no bigger than 16mm diameter (190 pixels), this is because it will then allow complete printing to any currently available full face printable disc. This is normally achieved by cloning and must be done competently.

The thread heading is only to contain the film title - any other information such as year, region, artist and similar is not required.

PREVIEWS:
All previews are to be on a plain, solid colour background of an RGB value of 40,40,40. this matches the site theme.

The label must be presented perfectly horizontal.

Nothing else is to be included! So for example - No pretty extra images, no shadows and no tags or signatures - we can see your name in the thread anyway!

GENERAL CRITERIA:

All signs of moire (also known as half-tone dots) must be removed.

The scanning process will, almost without fail, introduce changes to the original colours. The cause of this is generally due to calibration issues but needs to be corrected. The first step is to adjust the colour levels to ensure that white is really white RGB 255,255,255 and not something close like 250,252,250. Same for black. This will normally correct an image and make it more vibrant but you need to ensure that the correction does not introduce unwanted colour saturations.

Text and logos should be crisp and readable, the good practice is to replace these if needed.


We don't want labels that are a plain background and some text. Anyone that can use even the most basic functions in paint could do a better and quicker job.
